How it all works · Tezla Group · Internal

The Tezla Map

We Live the Stack We Sell.

The Tezla bible — how the whole company works at 10,000 feet: every system, how work flows through it, and what ties to what. If it's on this page, it's real. If it says pending, we're still building it.

Owner + crew view · Last updated October 10, 2026 · We language throughout — this is a team, never a solo operation. · ← Back to the portal

The spider — every system, every tie

The technical view. Tezla Group at the center, the three domains around it, every system on the web. Solid lines are structure; dashed gold lines are live ties — how work actually moves. The five rings are the verification layers: every piece of work passes through all five before it reaches Louis. The dots are the crew — gold for the humans, slate for the AI team. Their presence is felt, not labeled. Tap or click any node. Pinch to zoom on mobile.

01

Winning Work

Where leads come from. Every source below points at the same funnel.

Live

Website — tezlagroup.com

Our front door. Contact-form submissions create H-Tech tickets automatically, and E-Waste collection requests arrive here too.

  • Client Portal links point at the real H-Tech portal
  • Contact form options include E-Waste collection

Ties: form submissions → create H-Tech Tickets

Live

IT Break Away Program

A marketing program inside the business — not a separate company. Prospects complete the program; graduates get our platform and services at a discount.

itbreakaway.com — $10.46/yr, registered Oct 3, 2026 (PO-2026-003)

Ties: program graduates → feed into Qualify / Sell

Live

Social presence

Facebook and Instagram — the public face between campaigns. All social and marketing accounts sign up with one address.

  • marketing@tezlagroup.com — shared mailbox, no license; Louis reads it

Ties: social leads → route through marketing@ → H-Tech Tickets

Live

E-Waste collection

The door-opener into prospect locations. We collect old IT hardware, triage every item, and turn a pickup into a sales conversation.

  • Selective intake — collection is NOT free; priced by weight, size, and items, quoted up front
  • Triage: reusable as-is · refurbishable · end-of-life
  • Tested refurbs: resold, bundled as affordable systems with support contracts, volunteer work, or affordable infrastructure for communities like Belize & Guatemala
  • Everything else goes through responsible recycling

Ties: pickups → open doors to prospects → Qualify / Sell · requests arrive via → website contact form

Live

Smart Hands — on-site field technicians

We Are the Hands On Tech! Certified technicians across the Tri-State Region — rack & stack, cabling, hardware swaps, site surveys, remote hands, after-hours dispatch. Sold to MSPs, vendors, construction sites, multi-site businesses.

  • Service page live at /smart-hands.html (Oct 8, 2026)
  • Dispatch flow: scope → schedule → do → prove (photos + closeout report)

Ties: contractor platforms (Field Nation, WorkMarket) → feed Smart Hands jobs

Pending

Government contracts

The public-sector push: SAM.gov registration, Delaware bids.delaware.gov, and subcontracting to primes as the fast path. Dover AFB is the big local buyer.

  • Learning brief complete Oct 2026
  • SAM.gov + Delaware vendor registration queued Q4 2026

Ties: brief → registrations → subcontract bids

Pending

Construction lead engine

Free sources first: Dover + Kent County planning agendas, permit portals, 5 GC vendor lists. Paid intel (Dodge/ConstructConnect ~$5–12K/yr) queued until revenue funds it.

  • Planning agendas surface projects 3–12 months pre-groundbreaking
  • Zero-revenue rule: free only for now

Ties: leads → Smart Hands (job-site IT) + new-site deployments

Pending

Referral program

Cash back, point blank. Refer a business that signs, get paid cash. Dead simple — launching Q4 2026.

  • Design: refer → signs → cash, no fine print
  • Queued on the 5-year roadmap

Ties: referrals → new clients → revenue

Pending

Themed campaigns

Seasonal marketing packs per service. First pack shipped: Halloween 2026 E-Waste ('Is your IT closet haunted?'). Thesis: they don't need every service — they need ONE.

  • 4 seasonal packs/year on the roadmap calendar
  • Filed under Marketing → service name

Ties: packs → Winning Work → E-Waste collections

02

  • After-hours: 1.5× rate, or $5,000/yr flat 24/7 coverage

Ties: quoted in → proposals · billed through → QuickBooks

  • PO-2026-001 — Teams Phone pay-as-you-go switch · closed
  • PO-2026-002 — Jon's Business Premium license · $26.40/mo
  • PO-2026-003 — itbreakaway.com domain · $10.46/yr

Ties: gates → all spending · reconciled against → QuickBooks + cost tracker

Live — manual entries

QuickBooks Simple Start

Invoicing and expense home. Entries are manual for now — the connector can't write, so Louis posts them by hand.

Ties: invoices → bill clients · expenses → reconcile against PO register + TD Checking

03

Delivering the Work

The operational core. This is where client promises become finished, documented work.

Live

H-Tech Tickets — our custom PSA

THE operational core. Every client request becomes a ticket; nothing gets worked outside the system. A ticket CANNOT close until documentation is complete.

  • Client portal: tezlagroup.com/client/ · API: tickets-api.tezlagroup.com
  • Fry-first intake — Fry the AI assistant creates the ticket with severity; email-to-ticket as fallback
  • Go-live target: October 28, 2026

Ties: receives ← website form, Fry, Planner work items, N-able alerts → feeds billing + Louis's review

Live — free tier

Microsoft Planner — house project standard

How we run projects: project intake → Planner plan → work items become tickets. Included free with our Microsoft 365 licenses — no new spend.

  • Free tier: boards, schedules, charts, Teams tabs — enough for every project we have today
  • Louis's project review dashboard renders native visuals; real Power BI embed later
  • Paid tiers NOT purchased: Plan 1 $10/user/mo (Gantt/timeline) · Plan 3 $30/user/mo (baselines, critical path, desktop app) — buy only when a client build justifies it

Ties: plans → break into H-Tech Tickets · paid tiers → billed through client projects

Trial — rollout pending

N-able N-sight — RMM standard

Remote monitoring and management for every client machine we touch — one console for monitoring, patching, backup, and AV.

  • 30-day trial submitted; full rollout still to come
  • Cove backup and integrated AV ride the same console when validated

Ties: alerts → feed into H-Tech Tickets · agents sit on → client devices

Partial — numbers pending

Teams Phone — pay-as-you-go

Our phone system, running inside Teams. The licenses are live; the public phone network unlocks next.

$40.95/mo — 3 licenses (Louis, Kat, Josh)

  • Teams-to-Teams calling works now
  • Phone numbers pending — need EIN → Microsoft verification (KYC) first
  • Metered-calling (consumption) switch still OFF — enable before outbound PSTN
  • Plan: main company number on auto attendant + 3 sequential 302 DIDs

Ties: will carry → client calls + support · metered usage → billed through Microsoft

Live

911 urgent ping + SMS-to-ticket

The red 911 charm: Ping Louis / Tech Team / HR sends a real SMS text. Emergencies only — every ping logged with a name, false 911s have consequences. 'No matter how busy, we're always here.'

  • Deployed Oct 8, 2026 — 187/187 tests green
  • "htech help" SMS creates a ticket + email (client-facing)
  • Providers not yet connected — buttons honestly say so

Ties: pings → SMS → ticket/email when providers connect

Ties: defines → the Qualify stage

Trust & Security — the non-negotiables

These don't bend for convenience, deadlines, or anyone. They are how we earn the right to touch client systems.

FIDO2 / YubiKeys

Phishing-resistant MFA is the direction — hardware keys, two per person. No SMS, no push, no TOTP; those are fake security.

Conditional Access

Enforced at sign-in: phishing-resistant auth required, token protection on. One policy, everybody, no exceptions.

Intune — company devices only

Management goes on hardware we issue. Personal devices never get enrolled, never get touched. That boundary is permanent.

No duplicates, no dangling anything

Every permission matches the intended model exactly — group-based, reconciled, nothing duplicated, nothing orphaned. Keep everything very tidy.

Look huge, stay honest

Team language everywhere, never solo-operator. No fake employees, no fake reviews, no fake projects, no fake anything.

Reconciliation is key

POs match invoices, invoices match payments, tickets match documentation. If two records disagree, we fix it — especially with clients.
